The Scarlet Letter
The book of Nathaniel Hawthorne “The Scarlet Letter” was published in 1850 and caused a wide resonance among readers in Europe. It truly tells the story and the history of that time, the XVII-th century that was going on at that time. The reader is given a picture of the morals of the Puritans in that small town, and about the religious aspects of that time. The basis is laid on the sense of how a person experiences the anguish of conscience and how they are easier to live through: bury deep in the heart or firing out. The plot describes the life of a woman – the main character who is experiencing heavy misfortunes in life.
