The weak point of the “Professional” Nikon and other brands of film scanners is that they used “Professional” means to connect to computers – SCSI or Firewire which are obsolete and difficult to install on modern computers. The only Nikon slide and film scanner you can buy is in the thousands of dollars. I highly recommend this scanner to anyone who wants to control the process themselves as opposed to sending off your slides to a processing house.

Using a set of enhancement and correction techniques, this product is able to remove scratches and dust from the equation automatically while the dynamic data exchange function performs exposure compensation that results in vivid colors despite scanning washed out slides.
And, if you have a lot of images, using this scanner will save you lots of money. Since I cut all my film myself whether home processed or lab processed I could make use of that by scanning before cutting. Your product was a good match for the Nikon Super Coolscan I am using.
